Kathryn Damm, PhD

Kathy Damm received her PhD from the University of California, San Diego in 2008. After teaching at multiple community colleges in California, she was hired full time at Nevada State College in 2008. While in Nevada, Kathy Damm participated in and eventually facilitated the Blackboard Catalyst Award winning program called The Technology Fellows Institute for 3 years. She also won the school's prized iTeach Award for Teaching Excellence 2011. Dr. Damm co-facilitated an online course with @One called "Designing Effective Online Education" with Dr. Bill Doherty from 2009 to 2016. In 2012, Kathy Damm joined Saddleback College full time. She served as Faculty Coordinator for Distance Education between 2013 and 2014 and Psychology Department Chair from 2017 to 2022. Dr. Damm works closely with Department chairs as the Student Learning Outcomes Coordinator (since 2018). She continues to teach a breadth of psychology courses both in person and online.
